DESCRIPTION:Session 1: Mon 1 pm- 4:30 pm\, Tue 8 am- 4:30 pm\, Wed 8 am – 12 pm\nSession 2: Wed 1 pm- 4:30 pm\, Thu 8 am- 4:30 pm\, Fri 8 am – 12 pm \nAn attendee only needs to attend one session to receive a certificate of completion. \nRegistration Fee:  $300 per attendee for member utilities/$450 per attendee for non-members \nThis workshop is intended for employees with basic tree trimming experience. Attendees of this workshop will receive instruction in the knowledge and skills necessary to meet the criteria required by OSHA to be designated a Qualified Line Clearance Tree Trimmer. This knowledge will include recognizing nominal voltage present\, minimum approach distances\, and energy control measures among other issues. The workshop will include a full day of field exercises that will review basic line clearance tree trimming safety practices as well as how to incorporate the OSHA requirements into the daily work habits of the attendees. \n  \n  \n

Emphasis is placed on hands-on training with CL model controls. CL-Control training modules are used extensively during training. Recloser training; Distribution System Protection\, includes installation\, controls\, maintenance and trouble-shooting sectionalizers\, single-phase and three-phase reclosers and fusing. Training on ML type controls provided with Control Training Modules. \n  \n  \n
