$329This OSHA-accredited course provides an overview of OSHA construction safety regulations, with an emphasis on OSHA regulations for electric generation, transmission, and distribution equipment and systems (1910.269 and 1926 Subpart V). The OSHA 10-hour course is intended for line workers and supervisory employees. Persons attending this course will receive training in the following topics: Introduction to OSHA; Electrical Safety; Safe Grounding Practices; Personal Protective Equipment; Job Briefings; Confined and Enclosed Spaces; Lifting and Rigging; Excavations; and Fall Protection for the Electrical Industry. Each module is tailored specially toward the power transmission and distribution industry. Although this course is based on the current OSHA 1910 and 1926 standards, the course material discusses standards and industry accepted best practices along with such non-traditional subjects as equal-potential grounding, flame resistant clothing, electrical arc protection, and pre-job briefings. Students completing the ET&D 10-Hour course receive a traditional OSHA 10-Hour for Construction card with the ET&D endorsement.
