OSHA 10 Hour Construction with ET&D Endorsement Workshop
The OSHA 10-Hour Electrical Transmission & Distribution (ET&D) course is a specialized construction outreach program tailored for line workers and power employees. It provides an official OSHA 10-Hour card with a unique ET&D Partnership endorsement. Though called a 10-hour course, it spans 11.5 hours of training. The ET&D Partnership, an OSHA national strategic collaboration, designed this training to tackle the leading causes of injuries in the electric line construction industry.
Key Course Topics: Instead of general construction hazards, the ET&D 10-Hour Course Procedures cover specific, high-risk topics:
- Equal-potential grounding
- Flame-resistant (FR) clothing and electrical arc protection
- Pre-job briefings
- Fall protection for the electrical industry
This course provides an overview of OSHA construction safety regulations, with an emphasis on OSHA regulations for electric generation, transmission, and distribution equipment and systems (1910.269 and 1926 Subpart V). The Partnership course is intended for line workers and supervisory employees. Students completing the ET&D Construction Outreach Training course receive a traditional OSHA 10-Hour for Construction card containing verbiage designation indicating the student completed the ET&D Construction Outreach training course.
